the com(mon) irony

Down to the wire
I wanted water but
But I'll walk through the fire
If this is what it takes
To take me even higher
Then I'll come through
Like I do
When the world keeps
Testing me, testing me,testing me

dad brought home hes old com frm work
damn old alr
like pentium 3?
win 98?
but somehow seems to work btr than this com
maybe due to the fact tt though its so old
dad only like used 1+gb out of 10 the hard disk has
which is also by any standards puny
ok not any
present standards
the people who invented computers i bet dint c youtube comming
ok tts beside the problem cuz youtube doesnt hog gbs
think filesharing is really the prob
though i dun rly engage in it
i dun c how i filled 80gb frm sec 2 when my dad's com was from the 98 era
n stil works smoothly
til i tried to get it on the network
but as u can c 98 doesnt much work like an xp
n also due to the fact tt im not by any trace in any sense a techie
nearly screwed the com tt it stopped booting up once and had to run in safe mode in another
aft tt scared alr so i wun touch tt com til someone helps me
so tt com no internet im stil stuck to using tis com for the moment
actually i dno y i relish the though of using the 98 for everyday purposes
think will work btr than tis now
with lesser flashy stuff
tech stuff of the past really are the things tt get the stuff tt nds to be done done
now they come loaded with all kinds of shit
though true tt they're faster
the added stuff kinda cancel out the fact tt they're faster
n sometimes even makes it slower
its like everytime they come up a new n faster processor
the software ppl rush to 'make use of the faster specs'
great example would be like how windows media player used to open in a flash
and a few updates later it takes as long as it takes for mushrooms to grow to open
almost stopped using it alr
n it seems harder to add files to library now
so in essence
with advancing technology
are we really moving forward or instead stagnating or in fact moving back?
are the extra resources used to 'make ur computer faster' worth it?
or are we just wasting resources just to stagnate the speed of computers?
with this stupid race between hardware and software makers to always be at the top
but the end will never be cuz everytime u reach it some fking idiot in the industry juz raised the end point
n we consumers juz seem like idiots chasing this never ending race
dumping more and more resources into it while in fact getting nothing done
basically
WHEN ARE WE REALLY GOING TO GET (really)FASTER COMPUTERS?
